ARA email address
Nice forum and website, but you could probably do with a ARA email address on you main page, so people can contact you to ask some questions and the light grey on black background is a little hard to read. Sorry i don't mean to sound critical I'm just interested in this organisation and reading through your website it seam like a breath of fresh air in the re-enactment world. Just finding a couple of things difficult.

RE: ARA email address
Hi Leo,
ARA has been formed by re-eanctors for the re-enactor and I believe that the organisation is taking the right steps to take re-enactment, HEMA and all asscoiated hobbies into the next decade with a fresh view. Any questions that you may have can be posted here and you should get a fairly prompt answer. You are welcome to PM me on this forum if you feel that your questions may be of a sensitive nature. I don't and won't pretend to know everything, far from it, but for any questions I don't have answers to I may be able to find out for you. Cheers Ted MCC |

RE: ARA email address
Hi Leo
Thanks for the feedback. There is certainly nothing wrong with some constructive critism. We welcome observations such as these as a positive within my own club Danelaw. People should get involved in helping out in whatever way that they with any organisations or clubs they may have an interest or even passion for. I think you will find that this will be openly encouraged within the ARA. Cheers Kirk |

RE: ARA email address
Hi Leo, the light grey on black works well on my phone. Do you have a suggestion on your preference? I am sure the moderators can make an optional colour scheme.

RE: ARA email address
The yellow text, and the white text, are ok, I just find the grey text makes me have to bob my head around and squint to read it with a little glare on my laptop screen, maybe it just needs to be a even lighter shade of grey almost white.

RE: ARA email address
Hi Leo, If you want to contact the ARA committee you can either use the contact form on the website or use admin@ this domain name.
We don't have the email address on the main page as it will lead to spamming at a level we do not need. Thanks for your input, we will consider a brighter text colour next time we are revamping or making an alternative forum theme. Aaron Quot capita, tot sententiae. |

RE: ARA email address
Hi Leo, as to your point regarding colour. We made an alternative theme. To select it, go into the User CP at top of the screen, select "Edit Options" then on the bottom right change the board style to "ARA Basic". It is a simple high contrast design that should work well in high glare situations.

That option is much more easy on the eyes, Thanks tried the contact form on the main page, still have not got a reply to my question. Leo |
