I'll first introduce myself. My name is Ted Wells and I am co-founder of a brand new group called MCC, based in Cowra NSW.

Our club name is an acronym for 'Medieval Combat & Culture'. When in re-enactment mode, we portray history form Europe and Middle-east from 1200 - 1600, MCC being roman for 1200 fits well too.

MCC, though only just getting off the ground with ARA membership, we have plans of not only growing the Cowra group but spreading our wings to surrounding centres such as Orange, Young, Parkes and Forbes.

MCC is combat based and we run classes inside re-enactment season. Our trainers have a combined martial experience of over 25 year and are practitioners of HEMA as well as Persian and Asian martial arts.

However we encourage all facets of European and Middle-eastern lifestyles, from weaving, cooking and story telling to the warrior's arts.

We are building a re-eanctor's repository as well off our own website for all interested please, take a look.

Hi Ted

Nice web page and all the best in founding the MCC. I like the concept and hope it grows well in the other areas for you.

Cheers

Thanks Kirk,
Both clubs that we have founded (Denizens of Ethos - Bathurst and MCC) were built on a model constructed from common sense and with the goal of safety and fairplay in mind. This was derived from planning, development by experience from people over the time we had administration of DoE and the input of many successful clubs.
